Early 1980s

Chapter 1: The Beginning

It all started in the early 1980s in Portsmouth, England. Steve Lipman, the founder of ProREZ, was a young engineering student working for one of the largest resinous flooring installers. Hearing installers complain about unreliable products and the grueling process of redoing installations, he realized there had to be a better way. That spark led him to explore formulations that were both reliable and easy to install.

1990s

Chapter 2: A Passion for Formulation

Steve immersed himself in product development—working in the lab and testing on‑site. He collaborated with installers, architects, engineers, and end‑users to refine systems for real‑world conditions. His mantra: “From the lab to the slab.” Each iteration balanced usability with performance, minimizing errors and delivering exceptional results.

Early 2000s

Chapter 3: Becoming a Trailblazer

Steve’s dedication paid off—he gained recognition for innovative formulations across Europe and beyond. In the early 2000s, he relocated to the United States. One standout contribution was enhancing cementitious urethane systems. His three‑part solution revolutionized industrial flooring by making installation easier, more durable, and higher‑performance than ever before.

Rather than over‑complicate, Steve focused on straightforward solutions that deliver exceptional results without unnecessary bells and whistles.
