Featured Project: Coast Guard Station – Base Cape Cod (Buzzards Bay)

Topcoat Services USA LLC is based out of Hyannis, MA on Cape Cod, but services all of New England. Servicing residential, commercial, industrial, and public works projects. Topcoat Services specialize in resinous flooring and polished, stained concrete, as well as along with all types of surface preparation and repairs. Topcoat Services installs moisture mitigation solutions, self-leveling underlayments and polishable overlays. They are certified to specify and install most major coating systems with a proven track record of successful installations over the past 35 years.
Installation:
The Coast Guard Base Station at Buzzards Bay, Cape Cod encompassed a total of 32,268 square feet of aircraft hangar floor area and shop spaces. The scope of work was to grind and shotblast the various concrete substrates in preparation for a resinous floor coating application. The ProREZ ProShield SC (“Standard Coating”) System was installed in a “light gray” color, with “safety red” and “safety yellow” traffic striping & markings. ProREZ MB (“Moisture-BLOK”) primer was applied at 16 mils as the base coast, with ProPoxy S (“Standard Cure”) at 12 mils as the mid coat and ProThane S (“Standard Cure”) at 4 mils with 54-grit aluminum oxide backrolled into this finish coat.
The ProREZ system was selected for this installation because it exceeded the specified performance requirements with its non-slip resistance and its easy maintenance. The finished system also needed to withstand oil & fuel exposures from the helicopters.
